Rodrigo Solórzano is a multidisciplinary designer whose work encompasses product design, public art, and interactive technology. Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, his design training includes studies at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and the Royal College of Art in London.
Rodrigo's career is marked by collaborations with brands such as Issey Miyake, Sony and Swarovski, and his creations can be found in diverse environments, from the British Parliament to luxury hotels in Morocco.
As co-founder of N&R Foldings, a design studio operating between Mexico and Japan, Rodrigo partners with Naoki Kawamoto to specialize in digital generation and fabrication techniques inspired by the functional capabilities of origami. The studio focuses on creating innovative solutions for diverse products, combining folding principles with digital technology to develop designs that are both functionally sophisticated and aesthetically striking.
Rodrigo's work, exhibited internationally and featured in private collections in Morocco, Qatar, and Mexico, reflects the global appeal of his innovative approach. Through N&R Foldings and his individual practice, Rodrigo continues to push the boundaries of contemporary design, uniting cultural influences and cutting-edge technology to create impactful and visually compelling products and environments.
